The MarketStats team at ShowingTime has created a new InfoSparks module that equips agents, offices and firms with the ability to review performance stats in reports and charts generated using trusted MLS data.

The add-on to InfoSparks, called MarketView MLS, allows users to run rankings reports based on market share, total units or total dollar volume for the list side transaction, sale side and total sides. Having MarketView MLS’s performance metrics available, along with the popular trend data that InfoSparks already provides, allows MLS members to harness the power of both production and market trends, painting a fuller picture of market dynamics and success.

For example, an agent can review their average Days on Market (DOM) for closed transactions, then compare it to the average DOM for closed transactions in the MLS to be able to say to sellers, “The average DOM for listings sold in the region is 70 days, but my average is 65 days. On average, I save my sellers five days.”

Data can be filtered by a range of geographical and/or housing characteristics so you can chart the metrics you want. Using the same look and feel of InfoSparks, users will be MarketView MLS experts right away.

“InfoSparks is popular because it makes it easy for agents to use trend data,” ShowingTime President Michael Lane said. “MLS clients using our MarketStats line have told us they’d also like members to be able to generate charts showing basic performance data. With MLS data being used, members can essentially compare apples to apples for an accurate look. We built MarketView MLS to provide that feature to InfoSparks users.”

Once MarketView MLS is enabled, all MLS members have access to data that has been vetted using consistent methodology and calculations.

MarketView MLS features include:

  • Ranking – Rank agents, offices and firms by units or dollar volume for list side, sale side or total sides
  • Highlighting – Highlight an agent, office or firm to compare performance to a ranked list
  • Agent, office and firm selections in InfoSparks – In addition to geographic filters, you can now search by agent, office or firm, and can add up to four area or entity tabs for comparison
  • Report types – Depending on the variables selected, users can generate an Agent Report, Office Report or Firm Report. Time calculations include Previous Month, Rolling 12 Months and Year to Date

You can also compare an agent, office or firm’s performance versus the MLS average in percent of original list price received, as well as other relevant measures.
